Manually lending out my shares

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by ScroogeMcDuck, Aug 29, 2024.

  1. Is there a platform that will let me set a sort of 'limit order' on the interest rate to lend out my shares and actually give me a fill when the rate goes higher than that? And share most of the proceeds with me?

This would be a very useful feature when I'm arbing stuff that involves equities with triple-digit rates.

IB has a Stock Yield Enhancement program https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/pricing/stock-yield-enhancement-program.php where it will lend out your shares and let you have a share of the interest that's earned on the loan.

well then. if you are on the list of the top holder of a company stock, the short funds may call you, then you can negotiate the rate. until then, fully paid lending is available for you from your brokers, you don’t get to decide.
