Manchin sticks it to the dems again.

  1. More failure for the dems when they wanted some successes to campaign on.

    Keep lookin, Tards.

Manchin says he won't support climate, tax provisions in sweeping Democratic bill

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and his staff told Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D, N.Y., unequivocally Thursday that he is only willing to support a reconciliation bill in August that includes a provision to lower prescription drug prices and a two-year extension of subsidies for the Affordable Care Act, according to a Democrat briefed on the conversations.

  3. That seems to be the way of doing business in DC these days. Leak something out to crank everyone up.

I can only assume that we will see Manchin being confronted by climate activists while having dinner at some restaurant this weekend. Hopefully no assassination attempts.

Manchin lives on his boat in the Potomac when in DC. Probably a good reason for that. Limits access to him by the riff raff.

Manchin says he has reached a deal…

BIG note, notice how this comes directly after CHIPS leaving McConnell in the cold. Manchin giveth and Manchin taketh.

  6. Manchin's game in Washington just got a whole lot more complicated.

    link below.

Not sure how he is going to navigate this if Jim Justice gets the republican nomination.

Trying to be Mr. Moderate or Mr. Bipartisan is not going to fly in this upcoming senate race. All the conservative/non-libs will go with Jim Justice. So Manchin will have to swing more toward the dems- including lefty dems- to compensate. Or if he tries to compete with Jim head on in the conservative lane then he will lose more of the dems that he will desperately need. Viewers are warned to not try this game at home.

The irony is that Jim Justice was a democrat himself not long ago and switched to pub to become governor so he is a skilled competitor in this business of trying to tap into both parties.

Just as a reminder. Manchin is a dem senator in a state that Trump took by 40 points. So that is a feather in Manchin's cap but it also points out that there are a lot of real conservatives in WV that are looking for a conservative competitor.

And of course it would put another pub in the Senate.

    MORE TO COME

    Quick question for Joe Manchin:

    Havin' fun yet Joe?

    Retirement lookin' good?
