Does anyone here operate or want to operate an offshore fund from Malta?

 

why would anyone want to do that ?

 

multiple reasons-- taxes and if you have EU investors are among the primary reasons.

It's the cheapest place in the EU to domicile a fund or your own account for you BSD's.

No question, Malta is the future of offshore.

 

Malta for offshore ?! really ?! i don't think so... there a automatic exchange of data with EU.. it's not secure.

 

So what, you can pay legally zero taxes as a foreigner...

 

I am speaking from a US perspective.

 

It's a turn key solution for a US manager who wants to set up an offshore operation to attract euro clients and tax reasons. It's inexpensive, fully vetted off shore platform for fund managers. Just one million minimum fund size

 

Haven't you seen what happened in Cyprus? and Cyprus has/d more land mass, more natural resources, better educated population...

 

You can get a lot of euro-poon there.
