Every geek and their cat wants to do new shit. See on the "procrastination" thread, the advice I give to my young self (my son). New shit is hard and taxes you. After 20 years of doing new shit I hate it even when doing it for myself, knowing why, how, how much and when it will pay. Like a billion in 10 years. Yeah, right. I recently turned down an offer to be hired for 2x my current salary at a German software company. The interview asked me to spend a day on a problem they have in production. It's not that I couldn't solve the problem, it's that it would have taken me a day. I don't wanna work a day on problems that take a day. That's labor and I'm above it. Not that I can't do labor, but around high school I realized I can do so much more with my 150IQ and the remaining untapped potential. I wanna die a billionaire and I'm gonna die being a billionaire that shaped the fate of this World we're living in.
