More than 100 law enforcement agencies have reportedly pulled out of security agreements to send personnel to help with security at the Democratic National Convention next month in part because they are concerned about recent efforts to limit law enforcement’s use of tear gas and pepper spray in responding to violent riots.

Yeah, imagine that. Your party supports defunding the law and makes it difficult for them to do their job, and what does the law do? Decides to not support you or work with you. And then you call that "grifting". The rest of us call it "poetic justice".

    What a shocker!

Next thing you know, fishermen will refuse to fish when you take away their boats! The very nerve!

Considering they want the police to not use tear gas among other defensive weapons, only idiot police officers would put their lives at risk when they are supposed to keep the peace with both hands tied behind their backs? Let the Democrat social justice warriors police their own ranks. After all they are, peaceful demonstrators and have no evil bones in their bodies?

Hehe, so they feel there will be riots at the DNC and will not be able to use those tools to quell the unrest should the need arise.

Par for the course these days.

Hard to control riots without riot control. Pair that with the majority of the DNC supporting extreme forms of defunding the police and the long established "no duty to protect" rulings why, pray tell, should they offer any help to those that seek to harm them?

I don't think this is a lobby at all. If I was a police officer I wouldn't want to defend the people supporting, and even funding, the people actively seeking to harm me. It's common sense. Let's not pretend they're acting irrationally. This is an entirely rational (albeit not ethical) move.

Sure they're reacting irrationally. Cops don't get to pick and choose who they get to protect and serve, even if they disagree with the 1st amendment rights of those they've sworn a duty to protect & serve. And throwing a political hissy fit in an attempt to strong arm & muzzle that speech isn't going to help their cause.

Not a problem, plenty of goons around to hire for money, these lowlife scum will come begging after their funding gets slashed under Dems. Money is the only language these degenerate racist trash understand.

This line of "thinking" makes no sense...and kinda explains, in part, how the US got here.

Employees don't get to pick and choose what work they'll perform.

The secret service doesn't get to pick and choose which POTUS they'll protect.

Just like everyone else, do your job, or quit. No one gets to refuse to do their job, and keep it.

Let them defund themselves and lose the contract, call in the national guard to work security.

o_O You all were going nuts at the sight of federal officers and now you want the military?

Do you hear that? It’s the world laughing at you.

Let me dumb it down for you:

"We" weren't nuts at the sight of federal officers.

"We" were nuts at the civil rights violations of federal officers deployed unilaterally in violation of the law, also while these officers were unidentifiable, also while these officers were violating the civil rights of citizens.

    And,

The National Guard is/are not Federal Officers.
The National Guard is at the pleasure of the Governor, Federal officers aren't.
    Etc.
    Etc.

Either you are extremely dumb, or you are an unskilled bullshitter wasting everyone's time. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt this time: Please stop wasting everyone's time.

Bullshit logic only works on deplorables.
