Both the victim and the officer had the same story. The officer's attention was pulled away, Bethel Chief of Police Steve Teague said during a virtual council meeting. Huh. The victim was interviewed after he was hit and initially decided not to press charges, Teague said. On Monday morning, however, the victim changed his mind and decided to press charges, Teague said. The department has identified the suspect and an arrest warrant will be filed Tuesday night, according to the chief. So the video shows the event quite clearly, and I actually thought the officer would have seen it as well. But when the victim corroborates that the officer didn't see it, I guess you have to go with what the police and the victim both say happened. And once he decided to press charges, the police did what they are supposed to and arrested the individual. Now, if we want to post examples of when a protesting group decides to use violence on a counter protester, lets start! I've got a few hundred videos of people peacefully counter protesting ANTIFA and BLM protests who get positively owned.

Kind of makes you wonder where all the prison sentences were for all those "peaceful" BLM protesters destroying buildings and beating store owners in broad daylight. Or how about crossing interstate borders to commit crimes, blocking interstate traffic, and creating public danger? Oh...wait...those charges were dropped... Almost like there are two different sets of rules at play here. EDIT: I'm not condoning violence here. It just sure is odd the police back down when an "innocent" BLM "protester" strikes someone it's considered liberating but this is considered a crime. How about we enforce rules equally for once?
