They think that the economy is great and that Trump has been in office long enough now to give him full credit for it, even though invariably they have great difficulty pointing to what exactly he has done to cause this, or how things are significantly better than the last few years under President Obama. I have yet to get a specific answer on these many “regulations” Trump has supposedly/magically cut which have allegedly spurred growth. The most bizarre aspect of this “the ends justify the means” defense of Trump is that this is the exact same argument these same people rejected when it was used on behalf of Bill Clinton during his impeachment. https://www.mediaite.com/columnists...ll-never-care-about-the-russia-investigation/
Rule of thumb, if Trump said it, better double check. In other words, thanks, Obama President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon heralded the stock market unofficially becoming the most durable bull rally in history at 3,453 days. The president tweeted after the market closed: "Longest bull run in the history of the stock market, congratulations America!" Indeed, Wednesday's action, despite slight declines for some benchmarks, helped the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.34% the S&P 500 SPX, -0.04% and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.38% notch the bull run's lengthiest sustained rally in modern history, dating back to March 9, 2009, surpassing the previous record set between 1990 and 2000. At least by some market participants' reckoning, it is the longest in history. Trump's tweet, however, comes as those once deep within the commander in chief's inner circle have become embroiled in legal drama. Late Tuesday, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was found guilty on eight charges including tax fraud, and on the same day the president's former lawyer Michael Cohen said that he violated campaign-finance law at President Donald Trump's direction.
You asked about all the regulations he relaxed! There's 2 pages of them. But more importantly, and I assume you know this a trader.... its all psychological anyway... and be it right or wrong.... people believe Trump supports small business. And he has reigned in the EPA. Christ you couldn't replace a bridge on I-10 over a creek without 10 years of environmental impact studies. No wonder our f'n infrastructure is collapsing. Obama wanted to save some endangered minnow in that creek.
Again a bunch of words, show me numbers you being a trader and all. I don't like stories, those are for investors. Show me the economic impact of these so called regulatory changes. Should be easy, just show me the above average spikes. And there has been no infrastructure push, another spree of lies by your guy. He gave himself a tax cut and forgot everything else.
