He tried to run his own "Build the Wall!" scam, and made the mistake of not letting Trump in the con.

  3. Trump was asked about the striking number of his White House advisers or campaign staff being indicted. Trump attacked former President Barack Obama’s administration, saying they spied on his campaign.

Trump says he’s ‘sad’ about Steve Bannon’s indictment — but never liked the ‘inappropriate’ project his son endorsed

President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. publicly endorsed the organization now the target of a fraud investigation.

It was reported Thursday that former Trump campaign and White House advisor Steve Bannon was indicted and arrested after his group We Build The Wall was outed for lying to donors and using the money to fund travel and buy things like boats to help the Boats for Trump movement.

When asked about it during a photo-op with the prime minister of Iraq, Trump said he was sad.

Trump was asked about the striking number of his White House advisers or campaign staff being indicted. Trump attacked former President Barack Obama’s administration, saying they spied on his campaign.

That conflicts with the endorsements that his son gave to the group. Donald Trump Jr. even appeared at a New Mexico fundraiser for “We Build the Wall” and an endorsement of the group appears on their website.

Other endorsements from Trump world include Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Corey Lewandowski and former Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Kris Kobach, a failed gubernatorial, congressional and Senate candidate, claimed that Trump himself approved of the project in a conversation.

“President Trump gave the undertaking his “blessing” in a telephone conversation Wednesday night, according to Mr. Kobach,” the New York Times said in an interview with Kobach from Jan. 2019.

    Another one under the bus:

The administration gave Fisher the billion-dollar contract in May to build additional stretches of the wall in Arizona, despite a lawsuit around the South Texas project and an ongoing audit by the Pentagon’s inspector general of a previous border wall contract that is looking into possible “inappropriate influence.”

On Sunday, the congressman who called for the audit responded to the president’s tweet.

“The President isn’t telling the truth again. The Administration has awarded huge contracts to the same company, which is under Federal investigation, that built this fence,” Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., wrote in an email. “His Administration has also entertained outsourcing to private firms to get more mileage done before the election at the expense of proper oversight. There is no reason for construction to continue during a pandemic.”

Bannon should be pardoned and released right away

On the one hand it's sad that people got their money stolen. On the other hand they were racists who thought giving money to a racist to build a wall was a good thing

Stealing from racists should be honored, not punished.

More Trump bullshit, and yet another attempt to evade responsibility for his screw-ups. He endorsed the project from the beginning! This Jackass can't open his mouth without lying.

But there is more to this than meets the eye. I don't think Bannon was really running this operation, it was someone else.

The level of corruption in this administration is only exceeded by the level of corruption in the Trump organization itself. And now we learn that Louis DeJoy, Trump's man at the post office, who is busy dismantling the operation weeks before the largest mail in balloting operation in our nation's history is about to get underway, has a 30 million investment in a shipping company that is a direct competitor to the Post Office. It's astounding that Republicans who have the power to stop Trump cold will do nothing. The only conclusion one can draw is that the entire party, with a few exceptions, is corrupt to the core.

Hey Piezoe, you claimed the Muller report had evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. You never provided the reference.

    I am still waiting.

Don't be a jackass like Trump. The entire report is available to you. Have you ever heard of google? I'm assuming you can read. By the way, it is spelled "Mueller" And further details are also included in the special Senate Report. See that also.
