LOW-FLOW JOE: Biden Reverses Trump-Era Shower Head Rule Biden's Energy Department announced on Friday that it restored an Obama administration standard that caps the flow of water from shower heads at 2.5 gallons per minute. The Trump administration in December 2020 rolled back that standard, using a loophole that applied the cap to individual nozzles rather than the shower head as a whole. The Trump-era rule did not place a limit on the number of nozzles for a shower head fixture. "You take a shower, the water doesn't come out," Trump said. "You want to wash your hands, the water doesn't come out. So what do you do? You just stand there longer or you take a shower longer? __________________________________ What's next, inch-wide toilet paper?
Converting....9.46 liters a minute is plenty, most showers here in Colombia are 5.5 and boomer Americans have a reputation for being smelly so whatever's happening in the shower, you're doing it wrong.
Recently I changed my shower head. I had the option of using the low flow restrictor but ditched it. I hadn't used a hi-flow shower in maybe 25 yrs. It was glorious. It gets me soaked in maybe 2 mins, so do wonder about the flowrate/speed vs the lo-flow showers taking longer.
I always take the little black rubber thing that slows down the water out of my shower heads. When I travel I bring my own shower head and pliers to the hotel.Cant deal with low flow man.
I find a very large rainfall shower head ample though it's only 5.5L/min. Ok, the odd time skin stripping pressure is nice but I usually just ask the wife give me a good back scrub with a horse brush.
