Love of God

  1. ok, this is a weird one. Too bad there is not a lower basement in P&R.
I was just smoking and drinking a little late Sat early Sun and after the historical doc ended I just left it on and the first thing was an infomercial by the organization that destroyed my family.

and the man said, "The source of repentence is the love of God."

You have to think about that one for a while. First of all, do we need repentence? And if so, isn't the love of God the most efficient way to get there?

  2. and after reading my own post I say no, there are two sides. Only two, both equally opposed to each other. One side says we need repentence, and the other side says we must progress ever onwards.

It gets really funny when you get down into the weeds and start talking about fossil fuel.

  3. and if the source of repentence is the Love of God, no wonder progressives want no repentence and therefore no love of god.

see? It all makes sense. One side wants to keep moving forward and the other side wants to go back home. It starts making sense at the Bible study or college classroom, until they start talking about fossil fuel (not that I care that much about fossil fuel. I am an algae man myself.) And then the progressive side wants everybody to repent (the source of their repentence being the Love of their God), and the conservative side wants eveybody to just progress the way we always have.

What we need now is a new Jesus. Heck, I'm so fed up I could even go for an anti-christ.
