  1. Bored/drunk/took a long nap this afternoon so I am not sleepy. Let's all do this:

    https://longshortgame.com

    Rules:

    1. Create an account on the site
    2. Do 100 rounds of trading
    3. Post results in this thread
    4. Repeat
    5. Self-immolate at the fact that you are not any better than random

    tommcginnis and d08 like this.

This is silly. I thought it would be like real trading.

  3. Btw the reason I said to do 100 rounds is because there is no way any of you will make it to 100 rounds without losing all your money unless you never make a trade.

  4. What's silly? Do 100 rounds.

I did about 70 so far. I went LONG only and managed to get about 60 correct. So in conclusion, stick only to LONG and you'll survive.

    PERFECT

this will prove my point... technical analysis and/or price action is worthless without the context.

trade the PEOPLE, not the chart!

does it say from which period?

like if it's after 2009 then you have long side bias.

  8. Screenshot or it didn't happen. This was obviously the first thing I tried multiple times. It didn't work.

I've seen data going back to 2000

  9. I stand corrected, I must have done something wrong. Long only results:

But the test itself is biased since it uses "popular US stocks", but not stocks popular _at that time_ like pets.com.

  10. Overnight

    Overnight

Fascinating. You went long in 2003 and are +12% now. That's how much growth per year? Weirdness.
