long pause in internet stream

I have been getting some long pauses in my internet stream lately. I am currently using the optimum boost package. I never had any problems before, but the past two weeks have been sub par.

any suggestions? my squak box is pausing in mid sentence and my quotes freeze for a couple seconds.

any help would greatly be appreciated.

 

the market is actually that slow. nothing wrong with your internet.

 

I would try using ping plotter and check the trace route and the ping time. Call up you squak box and get a server to ping or one close by. There appears to be some ISP's that are throttling or capping data.

 

try checking running processes in Task Manager to see what other things are running...the spike in the app might be getting slowed by another process running taking up crucial amounts
