Liz Cheney is happy with the new pope because he is not Trump

  1. Man, she is a butt-hurt sick puppy.

Unless you think she is talking about someone other than Trump which would be absurd because she has never gone five seconds without having Trump on her mind.

"In an era that looked as if it might be defined by an American man of depraved cruelty, corruption, and shame, what a magnificent thing the Catholic Church has done. The elevation of an American man of goodness, grace, humility, mercy, and faith to the Throne of St. Peter is moving and momentous for us all," she wrote.

  2. "Depraved cruelty, corruption and shame" sums up the Vatican quite nicely.

She and the uni-party are a strange bundle of sticks.
The church is just another paid influencer.
Political class is paid directly from the US Treasury, skimmed right off the top and now we know what non-profits really are.

Yes, centuries of depravity, corruption, and shame, though curiously interwoven with the preservation of Western art, philosophy, and a respectable seafood pasta for €4.40 in the museum cafe.

My daughter was there with her elderly aunt who was doing a bucket list visit last year. I'm fairly sure the "divine" almond drizzle cake was in that cafe. Probably made by virtuous nuns then.

To be fair, the Captain would be complaining more about how much being Muslim sucks without the Church doing it's thing? Civilization is a messy business.
