Little-known mattress startup practically a unicorn
Nearly a thousand miles away from Silicon Valley and just west of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, in practically the middle of nowhere, is the tranquil cow town of Grantsville, population 9,617. It is there, in a warehouse the size of a combined eight Walmarts, you’ll find Purple, a direct-to-consumer mattress startup, hard at work prepping hundreds of thousands of pillows, powerbases and, of course, mattresses, for shipment. Is this the first one that's actually making money building an actual product, with an actual income stream that's already giving positive CF...???

I'm not surprised, actually. We all have to sleep on something, and preferably something comfortable.

  4. It took them 10 years to become an overnight success. Don't forget this :)

  5. Good point! So many companies that are an "over night" success have actually been around for years and steadily growing

Exactly. There are very few shortcuts to success, usually what it takes is hard work over a long period of time.
