The price of any asset must be based on the economic laws of supply and demand, anything else would be an inefficient market. The total supply of BTC is 21,000,000 and the total supply of Litecoin will be 84,000,000. Bitcoin is approximately 1/4 the supply of coins of Litecoin. Bitcoin price as of this writing is $40,000 and Litecoin is $170. If demand was in equilibrium the true market price of Litecoin should be around $10,000. Once institutions do the math , this bet will be a no brainer. Bitcoin demand is generated from International buyers base. Litecoin, being more US centric, since created by ex-Google employee has not reached the same level of popularity or notoriety, once US financial institutions pick up on it, it will be off to the races.
Fascinating. I have been looking into Ethereum. Any particular outlets you prefer for Litecoin-specific news?
So I'm not talking about 8 divide by 2 type of math. I'm referring to asset/risk allocation. Yes, some have and are accumulating coins, just like any other growth asset.
What percentage of a crypto portfolio should be in lite coin? What percentage of liquid net worth should be in lite coin?
I would recommend 20% of your crypto be in LTC. Crypto should be 5 -10% of your total investment portfolio.
No Litecoin is an alt coin. It will never catch up to Bitcoin unless it somehow gets globally adopted as a useful currency. Although Litecoin has become better with their privacy features, but it's not enough!
I am 37.5% in crypto and averaging in. Will consider litecoin. It is a fork of the original bitcoin code so should be higher.
You are making such a definitive statement as if this already set in stone. Dont worry if you were astute your BTC should have already made you 100x.
