  2. No worries. Russia is joining El Salvador in using Bitcoin as legal tender.

Now IMF want's to ban it and is urging El Salvador to reverse its decision pronto.

Russia should raise the price of natural gas 50% and cut its oil production. High inflation is what these sanctions supposed to achieve. It will hurt the average Russian and they will rally to Putin, not go against him. After all, NATO is the one hurting them. If Russia does that, it would increase inflation in US and Europe by a huge amount. And demand payment of the oil and natural gas in rubles. Make the Europeans support the ruble.

We are screwed. But Russia is royally F’d. They will go into a deep recession at best. Ruble is shit, stock market is closed, key interest rate at 20%. They will see shortages in the supply chain that makes ours look like Mickey Mouse. JMHO

@smalfil, I respectfully disagree. I think if I am right about the above, there will be civil unrest and Putin will be blamed. The average Russian sees no reason for Putin to be in Ukraine. Our best hope is all of the above happens and it leads to the overthrow of Putin.
PS, Putin will also feel huge pressure from the Oligarchs, who are losing a lot.

I wouldn’t be surprised if our real goal with this , is regime change. Everything I said may be a little radical. But the whole freakin world is radical right now.

Moscow stock exchange has been closed for a week.

When it opens, I am sure the volume will be super high.
and investors will be weeping and gnashing their teeth in despair.
