This is not good for America. It's insane. And they want to decriminalize the Police so no one goes to jail for anything. What a bucket of shit this state is. It's a piece of crap. And God help us if some nut puts a link to Portugal or whatever. The USA is not that tiny little European country of 10 million people. My God. People need to get a grip on reality. Oregon is completely messed up and it is the Libtards fault. They have lost their minds. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/11/04/election-drugs-oregon-new-jersey/
Decriminalization simply means you don't go to prison for being a drug user. The drug dealers can still go to prison. There's no evidence that more people will start smoking crack and shooting smack now that drugs have been decriminalized. We just won't waste money sending them to prison.
A lot of those psychedelics are being proposed for treatment for PTSD and a lot of those rioters are experiencing PTSD from rioting so I am pretty sure that Obamacare will cover it before long, if not already. It's all good in Portland. Set your tent up on the streets, smoke dope and trip all day and riot at night. Seven months straight of rioting, non-stop baby. I can guarantee you that they have never held a job that long.
I agree 100 percent that sending people to prison for drug use has been and abject failure on multiple levels. The problem is legalization of all drugs without seriously addressing drug addiction, drug abuse and generally why so many people need to drug themselves just to get through the day is a recipe for disaster. We must consider the fallout from this move. Child neglect and abuse is rampant among drug abusers. Theft, muggings, burglaries are the main sources of income for addicts, along with prostitution, especially concerning the underage sex trade. All of this will continue. We must get really serious about poverty, the breakdown of the family structure, over prescribing of prescription drugs, especially to children and young adults, multiple avenues of recovery must be made available, not just pray it away 12 step programs which has some success but is largely dismissed immediately by addicts. Until we do these things the problem of drug addiction will continue to grow, legal or not. This is another example of lazy government going from one extreme to another. Lock'em all up doesn't work, neither will just throwing in the towel and making everything legal. The solution is not easy or cheap and will require considerable thought, something which political types don't do well. Maybe if these lazy and corrupt fucks in government did something besides campaign all fucking day for the next election they might be able to work on real problems rather than just protecting their spot at the government trough.
You're wasting your breath with StoryTeller. He doesn't comprehend that putting someone in jail for using drugs (and hasn't committed any other crime) costs a fortune and it's everyone else who ends up paying for it.
Hey stupid. Yes, you. (And any other retard reading this) So you think it is okay for drug addicts to walk down the street with heroin and sell it to 12 year old kids so they can get a new junkie to sell their heroin to so they can reduce their own costs of doing drugs? Do you fucking think they run around with a lot of heroin to sell so if they get caught by the fucking damn Police you want to defund? No, you fucking retards. No, they run back to their dealer and then run around with just one "score" so IF they do get caught they don't look like pushers. You know nothing about the drug culture because you were raised by a fucking nanny. So fuck all of you asshole liberal losers. You are so stupid it is no wonder you live on the side of the liberal retarded fence. Oregon is a shithole. Be glad you don't live in that cesspool of thinking. It's people like you that are ruining the USA.
