Liberal attends CPAC

As you will read below, the whole narrative that the GOP is full of racist, misogynist, and homophobes is absolutely false and is a political narrative that is fake news by the left propaganda machine.

    Some excerpts below.

It was a genuinely inclusive environment.

I certainly had a stereotypical image of what CPAC attendees would look like. White, obviously. Male, probably. A typical frat boy (the ones I always hated in college) came to mind, definitely sporting a red hat and engaging in laddish behavior after hours.

And while some of those things are absolutely true, there was also much more diversity than I expected. The attendees came in all shapes and sizes. There were lots of college students who came with their young republican chapters, but they were balanced out by lots of middle-aged and older attendees as well. The gender divide looked to be pretty evenly split, and there were far more people of color than I was expecting, as well as members of the LGBT community.

But what was so refreshing was that there was very little talk about race or gender or orientation or anything that would indicate a collectivist mindset. People viewed each other as individuals and engaged in discussions of ideas.

In theory, I knew this would be the case, but experiencing it in practice was different. You must understand that right now in the land of the Democrats, EVERYTHING is about identity politics. Every. Single. Thing. And race is at the top of the list. If you’re white, no matter what you say or what you do, you are expected to be contrite in your inherent racism and continually re-affirm your shame in how you were born. It does not matter if you grew up poor, or how you’ve struggled, or any hardships you’ve had to overcome. All that matters is the color of your skin. Or your gender. Or your orientation.
Or your ableness. It is exhausting to have to live in a constant state of self-deprecating purity and to perceive everything in your experience as a struggle between those who have power and those who are “oppressed.”

It wasn’t like that at CPAC. People didn’t see others as a race, or a gender, or an orientation, or a disability. They saw each other as people who were fully capable of stepping into their greatness without a handout. And some of the standouts at the whole event were those who the woke left would call “marginalized.”

Diamond and Silk brought down the house with their talk about personal responsibility and empowerment. Candace Owens was treated like a rock star. Benjamin Watson gave a deeply touching talk about the importance of family. Brandon Straka from the #WalkAway campaign and activist Scott Presler, both openly gay men, had crowds lining up to take photos with them.

If CPAC was really a group of racist, misogynist, homophobes, none of these things would have been true. But they were. And it wasn’t because the attendees were trying to score virtue points by being more inclusive: They genuinely loved them and admired the contribution that each person was making. No one talked about their immutable attributes. They talked about their ideas and their efforts.

its the complete opposite of what paid trolls do.
its why I despise what some do.
among some people you can see they foster resentment and even hate to profit from it.

if you go down a level I realize the paid trolls must do it.
it is the dnc way... per that book by Obama's mentor.

Isolate and paint the opposition as a monster to get more votes.

even though you are a smarter lefty... the irony must have been lost on you...

someone who valued thought and critical thinking would critique her conclusions.

a lefty would attack the messenger rather than the message
a lefty would address her identity (because identity politics replaces useful thought) and try to out her as unworthy because she not really part of the preferred tribe.

A false conversion is no conversion at all. I'm not you, not just here for a bit of a endorphin kick. I looked before I spoke. Being really wrong actually bothers me, with you it is water off a duck's back most days.

I'm not a lefty as you describe because aside from a few loonies, few are actually as the right has fabricated, the old empty chair you guys keep talking to.

I've spoken to fifteen Trump supporters and I am skilled at questioning suspects, I was an AP wildlife ranger. I'm not the charging bull you see here in person. All of them were relatively normal, not showing the physical brain damage characteristics of psychopaths or narcissists but all had significant childhood development issues relating to parents (daddy problems).

You might be just like your own father, that happens. Means he was an asshole like you but lots are.

I just don't give a shit about her tale, it is bull.

I thought her tale was result driven pablum too...
but you had to attack her identity...
your way thinking is conditioned by your chosen side.

rebel against the observation all you wish. i don't care.

make up crap about me or my dead dad...
i don't care. he was great guy.

    your analysis of my life...
is dime store fake level crap

your analysis of trump supporters is about as credible the authors CPAC conclusions. its total garbage... you don't know shit... you don't live here.
you don't even seem to comprehend that many who voted Trump desired more... but had to choose him over Hillary.
Some of us even left him off our primary ballots this time around.

maybe you know some expats and few cousins... maybe you spent a few minutes visiting here.

but lets look at your actions here on elitetrader. actions speak louder than words...

you attempt to make deeply personal cutting comments towards just about anyone who questions you, your bullshit stories (you even lied about being american) or your conclusions.

I do have hope for you... now that you are doing keto... expect your mood and your "understanding" to improve.

The plaque in your brain which you developed by eating shit for years and becoming obese will slowly dissolve. (see the keto studies) your mood is improviing...
your view of the world will improve.
you may even turn into a nice person someday.

Frank Luntz made a great point: Do you know who didn’t attend CPAC, Mitt Romney.

Do you know who is not under quarantine because they didn’t attend CPAC, Mitt Romney.
