Pretty weak interview and poor questions. I expected more from Friedman. He mostly giggled at the answers and asked which year this or that robot originated. Toward the end he tried to go halfway to the meat and talk about the perceived dangers but never actually makes a connection nor presses on Boston Dynamics relationship with the military complex. Dream interview for a CEO of such company. The CEO tried very hard to make robots come across as harmless and assured we have nothing to worry about and don't need to ask questions. He easily succeeded as Friedman was pretty poorly prepared. The audience gained nothing new nor tentalizing. Waste of time.
Cool, Lex Fridman has great content. Just finished the Ray Kurzweil one on the upcoming Singularity. On another note, autonomous robot's playing soccer;
This is sick. From hunting animals with spears to this. I was wondering for a while, like ,,Is he faking it ?". Maybe he's simply thinking more than an average person, before speaking. Whatever reason it may be, i don't find it as a problem. Lex is the host*
He can be cheesy, yet he's authentic, has demonstrated the capacity for deep learning and has a stellar lineup of guests. Alternatively, one can just ask questions and cull through all the interviews letting the cream come to the top with new batch of #Ai/ML/LLM/chatbots They have huberman too.
