https://www.foxnews.com/politics/debate-trump-gop-candidates-determine-2024-vp Guess Trump won't be at the debate which makes sense given his lead. If he selects somebody from the current field I'm going to guess the most likely VP candidates are Nikki Haley and Tim Scott. At the end of the day it will depend which one shows more loyalty to Trump. Although the GOP claims that they don't believe in virtue signaling, Trump is definitely weighing whether it's more helpful to have a woman or a black man on the ticket. Having a black guy on the ticket could be particularly helpful in GA where the smallest margin could make a difference. Vivek Ramsawamy is a legitimate dark horse though. He might not be the best if you want to implement shit (since he's not involved in Washington), but he's been the most pro-Trump, the smartest, the most charismatic, and Trump can sell the ticket as outside of the establishment. He can't really do that with Haley or Scott who are both firmly within the establishment. Trump has even praised Ramaswamy. Perhaps Trump is probably thinking about his successor a little bit and who's most likely to carryout his MAGA agenda when he's gone. Pence, Christie, and DeSantis have no chance given their betrayal of him. Burgum said he wouldn't do business with Trump so that's not going to win his support. I would be surprised if any of the other politicians make the debate. Larry Elder, Will Hurd, Asa Hutchinson, Corey Stapleton, and Francis Suarez are other politicians running, but gaining no traction. Hard to see any of them getting the donations without pulling a Burgum if even Pence is in jeopardy of missing the debate.
Vivek or DeSantis, we'll see if our three seperate branches of gov't can prevent anymore recklessness (Hunter believes).
Vivek Ramaswamy, the guy who wants to defund the FBI to cover up for Donald Trump, is rational you say. Funny.
He's not picking DeSantis after he jumped in the race. DeSantis was the only person he ever saw as a threat which is why he's attacking him so much despite DeSantis not going hard at him like a Christie. Trump sees DeSantis as disloyal (which a lot of people do as Trump clearly made him governor) and he's very bitter towards him.
