Lets go back 4 years and see some of the disinformation that was put out regarding LeBron james' school. Now it turns out that the whole school thing was nothing but a marketing ploy and he failed to educate anyone. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/12/education/lebron-james-school-ohio.html AKRON, Ohio — The students paraded through hugs and high-fives from staff, who danced as Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” blared through the hallways. They were showered with compliments as they walked through a buffet of breakfast foods. The scene might be expected on a special occasion at any other public school. At LeBron James’s I Promise School, it was just Monday. Every day, they are celebrated for walking through the door. This time last year, the students at the school — Mr. James’s biggest foray into educational philanthropy — were identified as the worst performers in the Akron public schools and branded with behavioral problems. Some as young as 8 were considered at risk of not graduating. The academic results are early, and at 240, the sample size of students is small, but the inaugural classes of third and fourth graders at I Promise posted extraordinary results in their first set of district assessments. Ninety percent met or exceeded individual growth goals in reading and math, outpacing their peers across the district. “These kids are doing an unbelievable job, better than we all expected,” Mr. James said in a telephone interview hours before a game in Los Angeles for the Lakers. “When we first started, people knew I was opening a school for kids. Now people are going to really understand the lack of education they had before they came to our school. People are going to finally understand what goes on behind our doors.” Unlike other schools connected to celebrities, I Promise is not a charter school run by a private operator but a public school operated by the district. Its population is 60 percent black, 15 percent English-language learners and 29 percent special education students. Three-quarters of its families meet the low-income threshold to receive help from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Fast forward 4 years and the disinformation campaign is completely exposed. https://www.vibe.com/news/entertain...romise-school-eighth-graders-math-1234776733/ It was reported last week, via Akron Beacon Journal, that upcoming eighth graders at LeBron James’ I Promise School in Akron, Ohio, hadn’t passed the math portion of their state proficiency exam in three years. A spokesperson for the LeBron James Family Foundation has responded to that report, asserting their plan to invest in the students long term. I still remember when this fraud refused to play defense.
So every 8th grader fails the math test. Another democrat failure. LeBron James’ I Promise School Responds After Every Single Eighth Grader Fails State Math Test
LeBron James himself if I am not mistaken has not graduated college but, he did graduate high school. For all his monies, he could have put up his own charter school but, he knows that public school teachers would have gone after his ass. Extreme liberals lecture us on what needs to be done and to follow their lead. Where? Right off the cliff? Just like they follow Joe Biden blindly.
