So foreign sponsored misinformation...is it worse or better than domestic, sovereign sponsored misinformation?

What would be an example of "domestic, sovereign sponsored?" Hard to say, the idea of "nation states" based on the remains of colonialism needs an upgrade if humanity is to navigate the challenges before us. Maybe geo-political lines that are rooted in nature like watersheds would be a better approach. The US uses the same mechanism to promote national interests as well. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2011/mar/17/us-spy-operation-social-networks
Well, before I give an example of domestic sponsored that you and I can go back and forth about in arguing, if you believe that the US uses the same mechanism to promote national interests (which sounds as if you are saying the US uses propaganda and misinformation to its purposes - and I agree) would you agree that the US uses this on its own citizens as well?
The result of the Obama plan to misinform and persecute, is quiet quitting which is lowering productivity.
