Two months ago, Reuters breathlessly reported, “New Zealand police expect tens of thousands of firearms to be surrendered by a guns buy-back scheme.” Law enforcement authorities averred that “it could be more.” Pregnant with the expectation that gun owners would trade their firearms for cash, the political class is nonplussed by the results. Only 530 guns have thus far been turned in to the authorities. Whocouldanode? But didn't liberals brag about how NZ was going to ban all their firearms? I have to find the post. I remember Futurecurrents telling me you could just ban firearms, and they'd all be disappeared. Alas, poor Futurecurrents! I knew him, Banjo, a fellow of infinite foolishness, of most ridiculous fantasy. —Where be your claims now, Futurecurrents? Your outrage? Your stupid posts? Your flashes of insanity that were wont to set the forum on a roar? Not one now to mock your own idiocy? (with apologies to Shakespeare)
