Best anti-depressant for most people is a proper diet, regular exercise, and a meaningful relationship . Clinical depression is another story, but most "depressed" people have just allowed themselves to become lazy, fat and indifferent. Been there, done that.
It's very rare that I run into someone who's on anti depressants that tells me they are actually a better person than then were before they started taking them. Usually they will just reel off a laundry list of side effects.
