Any time someone brings up something "for the children" you can be sure it's an excuse to take your rights away. There has never been a case someone hasn't summoned "for the children" as a way to polarize a topic, as well as create a position where you can use "so you hate children?" against your opposition instead of countering them with logic and reasoning. It's the cornerstone of democrat leftist politics that, strangely in this case, is being co-opted by a Republican idiot for the same purpose.

Adelson is only interested in protecting the already dwindling profits of his brick and mortar. There will come a day in the very near future casinos will not be able to sustain themselves. Las Vegas is rapidly trying to distance itself from the "casino culture" and become a real town. I wish them luck. With Adelson and his ilk controlling majority of the commerce around gambling, it's highly unlikely anything will ever be done to allow people to gamble online without restriction. You can tell his agenda if you've ever gambled online. WSOP.com (the mainstay online gambling site in Las Vegas) requires numerous forms of ID, age, and location verification. "For the children" is just political garbage. He knows it. He's afraid. Very afraid of the majority of Las Vegas residents despising the casino industry and actively disengaging from it.

What a joke. Adelson should be ashamed of himself. He is near the top of the world's worst human garbage. He won't care though, remember - he's looking out "for the children".

I recall hearing "for the children" all the time from the anti-gay marriage crowd, so I wouldn't say ether side has had a monopoly on it. I agree though, makes me furious no matter who says it.
