Hi Everyone Ill keep this short : Im successful in my own right associated with the internet of things. Ive also made some very good long term investments in the past ( Netflix!)(LNKD) , and now I've come to the world of DayTrading. Im going to do only 1 thing and 1 thing only : Follow the news as it happens and try to get in as early as possible, on the News which i will SPECULATE, that will move the markets. I will start on Monday the 6th of Oct. and will try to trade everyday (i might miss on 2 days of the week). What i will do, is post the company and its news here and at what price i will go in and exit. I will also include the BUYs that i would want to do, but will not, just to see later on how the news actually moved the price. Will be making upto 10 trades a day. I hope mainly that this will help me grow, as the boards feedback will be the teacher for me on this Journey. I will stress, that i have never done any day trading, nor worked for a trading company etc. Just using what i have to spot movement, patterns and going with my inner intuition. Thank You in advance.
Does this mean you will try to get in as soon as pre-market trading opens (or extended hours the night before when the news is released after hours)? Or are you planning to enter at the opening bell? Or are you planning to wait a few minutes to see if the price reaction to positive news is positive or negative (or the price reaction to negative news is negative or positive) and then get in? A true gambler will get in the moment the news is released or at the opening bell; anything else is pure poise and rationality.
Hi Im going to follow the news before premarket opens and will attempt to buy in during premarket activity. I will continue to follow the news during intraday but my emphasis will be to buy in during premarket. As for after hours, if something breaks or some lucrative earnings reports show up, i might trade in the aftermarket.

Here are the results as im pulling out. Luckily i stayed on the positive side Today, as my buy-ins were not that big, otherwise i would have lost big with ADHD. Allin all i didnt focus well today and there was too much noise today with the news. ADHD -46.92% CDE +2.59% HPQ +4.09% DATA +7.12% MTH +2.23% TRIP +2.12% MXL +0.57% RSPP +3.10% MYL +2.33% TASR +2.59% ALDR +1.85% CMRX +4.69% watched but did not buy: *ARIA -0.70% *FTK +0.13% *BKW +3.59% *SPLK +5.20% *CP +1.23% *ISRG +5.74%
were these up on buyable prices? I.E. CDE up 2.59%, yet I see it up 1.5% and it opened at 4.76 and closed at 4.71.
Hi All buys were made in the premarket already, the price You saw at the opening was the price that moved after the news. For example take CDE, see at which price it closed a day earlier and then compare to the yesterdays opening price. Or please check the premarket movers of yesterday.
