It's on! East coast comedians v. West coast comics.

Unless P. Diddy was able to iron things out between Will Simp, and Chris Rock at the after party, it could be on between Chris's peeps and Will's peeps.

I have found a way to settle this, with comedy. Here's exactly what the oscars needs to do next year:

They need to make fun of how-people-look jokes, and also make fun of stage storming celebrities. This is the only way out.

Need to have Chris Rock back next year in boots and battle fatigues and a bow tie. Need to have some kind of fort on stage that he can hide behind as he scouts the audience with binoculars looking for funny looking people, hurl thinly veiled insults at them, then duck for cover till the crowd stops laughing.

They need to get Smith the go along with this and work him into the act, maybe even Pinkett too.

This is the only way it ends.

How would you fit Smith and/or Pinkett into the act?

Looks like Jim Carrey gonna be one of Rock's peeps. We need to work him into the act outlined above. How would you write him in? He practically writes himself in.

Latest developments: Chris Rock's brother says it's "on sight".

There's only one way outa this.

Howard Stern has a point. First, it was a throwaway joke beneath Chris Rock. Second, if anything, it might've been considered a compliment, as a comparison was made with Demi Moore, considered one of the most beautiful women in the world.

I would add something more:. The joke could have given the impression that Punketts hair style was about fashion, and/or preparing for a role in a movie. This technically draws attention away from Pinkettes condition (alopecia), rather than drawing attention to it. I am one of many who knew nothing of Pinkettes condition, and would have forever associated her looks with high fashion, or prep for a role in a movie I've never seen, played by someone normally considered beautiful.

Even so, I still don't understand the humor of jokes that simply make observations about how people look. The crowd's laughter was way overboard, I thought, not helped by Rock's own laughter with his joke, along with the crowd (usually comedians don't laugh at their own jokes).

Finally, if it was a bad joke beneath Chris Rock, that's on Chris Rock. It's a risk comedians run...for their dumb jokes to be on film forever, to forever make themselves look stupid, and make people look stupid for laughing at unfunny things. That's its own worst punishment.

Therefore, it was triple dumb for Smith to do what he did, and there is good reason to agree with laws that say no one ever has the right to assault/batter anyone. The one doing the assaulting/battery is not likely to ever be more reasonable than anyone telling a bad joke.

    I observe human psychology.

    And sometimes offer solutions.

Taking things too seriously is man's most serious problem.

If mankind knew how the world worked, he'd know that anger is never justified.

The world is a joke, and not a very good one.

My suggested solution for the Oscar problem is the same for getting out of the world problem. Need to start making fun of ourselves in a better way.

A lot of psychology students are drawn to study psychology because they are mentally deformed themselves and want to understand 'humans'. Of course their lense is completely fucked up and they never get it.

Maybe we should ask him about his life outside ET? He will want to tell us about it if he really studies humans.

I would not look to humans for any kind of understanding, or assume they could be understood.

I observe them from the framework of my own world view. What I observe generally confirms the world view framework.

In theory, humans are not understandable, being a conflicting contradictory cognitive dissonance that emerges as a riddle inside an enigma inside a paradox.

The object isn't so much to help them (I would if I could) but to save what is salvageable from them.

Observation is an effort to take a step back from full on involvement.

    Never go full human.

Being a human is like being a character role in a movie. You never want to be so into character that you can't break character.

Apparently this is what's happening to Will Simp. There are problems with taking any character too seriously. I've never seen his latest character King Richard but apparently it's about a crazy dad who did stupid things to prevent his two tennis star daughters from being insulted. In addition to that, Will is also playing a character that is called by god to protect his people, to be like a river of love for his people. It sounds good but even a role like that can be taken too seriously. Finally there is the role of family man dealing with shawty from the hood. In that role, Will drew the line at profanity, and would not accept anybody using four letter curse words around the house. Taking that role too seriously, he hurled profanities, probably for the first time in his life, on live worldwide TV.

So the moral is we can't be taking anything too seriously. And, it's easier to put on sandals, than to clad the entire world in carpeting.

If a comedian does his job, he can help us all break character, the characters we are all taking too seriously. It's a risky job
