Israel's parliament, the Knesset has finally passed the law banning the binary options industry. By a vote of 53-0, the 120-member legislature forbade the industry to operate from within the country and offer its products abroad. This, in essence, means the brokerages will have to shut down their call centers, which solicit new clients abroad. The final version of the law that was approved by the MPs, has been trimmed in order to include just the binary options brokers, leaving a loophole allowing them to change their business model and continue operating.
.....,..............action after the horse has left the barn. it sounds like the SEC. Israelis in this racket operate in call centers all over world not necessarily in Israel. my question is what is the hook that get people to gamble in binary options.
The promise of fast money... and that they make it so easy for them to deposit. Some people don't even recognize a scam if it stares them right in the face in front of a big billboard saying "this is a scam". I was shocked to see that people still invest with 'brokers' that cold-call them and say they have a brilliant investment idea... can you wire 10k into my off-shore brokerage, located in Hong Kong or some conconut island. I saw a question a while back, I think it was on ET or maybe another forum... and I thought to myself... What?? Does that still work? Stupidity never fades... and neither will scam-artists.
