  1. Eight killed in terrorist attack at Jerusalem yeshiva (most students are high school age)

Eight people were killed and nine others were wounded Thursday evening when terrorists infiltrated the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem, police said.

Three of the injured were listed as being in serious condition and taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem, while the other six were lightly hurt and taken to Sha'arei Tzedek Medical Center. One of the injured is 15 years old. MDA declared the incident a "multiple casualty event."

Jerusalem District police chief Ilan Franco said the terrorist entered the yeshiva, pulled out an automatic weapon from his bag and began firing in all directions. An Israel Defense Forces paratrooper who had his weapon with him engaged the terrorist in a gun battle, and two police detectives who arrived on the scene also fired at the assailant. The terrorist was killed in the incident

An organization calling itself "Galilee Freedom Battalions - the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh" took responsiblity for the attack, according to Hezbollah's Al-Manar television.

In Gaza, Hamas welcomed the terrorist attack. "We bless the [Jerusalem] operation. It will not be the last," Hamas said in a statement.

In Gaza City, residents went out into the streets and fired rifles in celebration in the air after hearing news of the attack on the yeshiva.

  2. Was the gunman an Israeli citizen?

  3. Nope. The <strike>gunman</strike> Islamofascist child-murderer was a resident of East Jerusalem. Would that make any difference to you if he belonged to Israel's fifth column?

  4. Though it is a crime what happened to these girls, and though I wish for those who committed such crime to rot in hell or jail for their cowardly act, I can't help but wonder about your fascistic mentality dddooo.

You have murered more than 40 children and infants in your last venture. These little kids were murdered by your state. They were blown to pieces by your Apache or F-111. You have done all of that without a word of remorse or regret. Not a single word you low life criminal.

I bow my head in shame in front of the parents of these little girls.

As for you? The day will come when you will be collected like the little nazi you are and punished for your crimes.

  5. Come on, the IDF loves to snipe at children. Arab lives are worthless to them. They are the Goliath.

I also condem this actions in the original post. Violence is not the answer!!

  6. The celebratory shooting in the air in Gaza that followed the terrorist attack in Jerusalem Thursday night showed that the penetration of Mercaz Harav was viewed as an unusual political and military achievement for the group responsible.

Wael, everyone knows the difference between a military operation in a densely populated area where terrorists are hiding among civilians and firing rockets and the deliberate targeting of children in schools. Even you know the difference.

  7. You will carry this mentality until you are punished and prosecuted. People cannot depend on your like to become moral. Your type should be locked up like a rapist who cannot help but offend.

To you, the name (military) justify the crime against shelling and bombing the most populated spot on earth. To you, to justify killing these infants, you have to lay the blame on your victims.

You remind me of a rapist who rapes a woman and blame her for wearing a short skirt.

Your zionism has stripped you and your like from any shred of humanity in the same exact way it did to the nazis.

I hope you rot in hell!

  8. Both sides are wrong, Israeli and Arab terrorists both as their actions result in the killing and wounding of innocents...and generating fear and anger which lead to further violence.

Any rationalization of killing innocents because it is an "accident" of war is the fare of heartless individuals.

Make no mistake, both sides try to terrorize the other side for political purposes, not self defense.

It is retribution, retaliation, and with a full intention to punish the other side for the wrongs done to them.

    retaliation

    noun

Definition: payback for a hurtful act

    Synonyms: revenge, payback

    Antonyms:

Tips: To retaliate means "to deliberately hurt or do something harmful to someone because they have done something harmful to you first." The act of retaliating is known as retaliation. The related adjective is retaliatory and describes acts of retaliation. Retaliation is often used with the words "in" and "for"--something is done "in retaliation for something."

  9. No wael, I lay the blame on your Hamas buddies and I lay the blame on you.

Israel tried everything else prior to the military operation to stop the rocket attacks and no country is going to put up with thousands of rockets falling on its towns.

You wael and your Hamas brethren are not only the murders of Yeshiva children, you are the true murderers of the innocent palestinian children.

No amount of your cheap rhetoric about innocent victims is not going to hide the fact that your side fired rockets at Israel for years, your side refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist, your side hide rocket launchers in school yards, your side is responsible for the death of innocent palestinian and innocent israeli children.

Pacifist propaganda usually boils down to saying that one side is as bad as the other, but if one looks closely at the writings of younger intellectual pacifists, one finds that they do not by any means express impartial disapproval but are directed almost entirely against Britain and the United States. Moreover they do not as a rule condemn violence as such, but only violence used in defence of western countries.

The Russians, unlike the British, are not blamed for defending themselves by warlike means, and indeed all pacifist propaganda of this type avoids mention of Russia or China. It is not claimed, again, that the Indians should abjure violence in their struggle against the British.

Pacifist literature abounds with equivocal remarks which, if they mean anything, appear to mean that statesmen of the type of Hitler are preferable to those of the type of Churchill, and that violence is perhaps excusable if it is violent enough.

After the fall of France, the French pacifists, faced by a real choice which their English colleagues have not had to make, mostly went over to the Nazis, and in England there appears to have been some small overlap of membership between the Peace Pledge Union and the Blackshirts. Pacifist writers have written in praise of Carlyle, one of the intellectual fathers of Fascism.

All in all it is difficult not to feel that pacifism, as it appears among a section of the intelligentsia, is secretly inspired by an admiration for power and successful cruelty. The mistake was made of pinning this emotion to Hitler, but it could easily be retransfered.
