This user on Reddit claims incredible returns. It would be over 50% returns monthly. What do you think?
Well, everything is possible. Specially with trading, if you reasonably know the future, and are able to trade it neutrally, objectively, and professionally without breaking down. And your mind is free and clear of outside influences and poisons and noise. A trader can accomplish great things if they step outside of the mutual fund, S&P annual average, mindset/personality, safety zone. And has ambition, and intelligence to accomplish something, non traditional, and grander out there,
I had no idea who Richard Dennis was until now, His trading story sounds similar to Jesse Livermore's....Boom, Boom to Greatness...Then Bust. Trading is not only about a Rise to Greatness, But also keeping, retaining, it! To suffer a devasting, crippling, loss is Stupid and Cancels everything out. You're back to square one, Joe Nobody. It's meaningless for a trader to be known for one, relatively, short moment in history. A trader should be able to carry on those magnificent, glorious, returns across multiple decades relatively consistently. That's skill,
Yes he was huge. The Prince of the Pits. Then the famous turtles experiment. And I agree with you. It would be ideal being able to survive in the markets. Or at least to retire like John W. Henry.
Aliens landing in Moscow is possible as well, but a question to ask, what kind in % of that happening there is. I don't buy in his story. He is most likely affiliated with the app from the top of that reddit thread, or owns the page. Thus a lousy title is there only to attract fresh new people.
Impressive, and IMO really doable! I'm on the same track, making my first steps But my method is much different. He writes that he started with just a mini account of $1500, the first 6 months made losses, had to reload his acct several times (s.b.), but then started flying off. But he had a BIG advantage: no PDT rule restrictions for him as his broker is non-US or so. And it's said (in the postings there) that he had 6x leverage at his broker when his account hit >= $2500.
Some people do just seem to have a natural knack for trading and pick it up quickly.Others trade for years and are barely profitable(if at all). A lot depends on one's total mental make-up I suppose. Maybe the guy does have that natural knack for trading. The only way I would be fully convinced though is if he would email me a P/L PDF page from his broker of his daily P/L from 2021 and 2022 and let me go over that paperwork with a fine tooth comb. I dont trust that Kinfo link he posted.
Yes. Focus on the journey not the money. If you prioritize understanding, the money takes care of itself. Beginners generally have it backwards, fail through a flawed approach and cause irreparable damage to themselves on all levels.
