Is TSLA's stock performance due to low float?

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by OptionsOptionsOptions, Aug 27, 2020.

    • $245 to $2,240 in 1-year.
    • Is TSLA's stock performance due to the low float of shares?
    • 150 million shares is considered low for TSLA - is that correct?

Look at others stocks with a similar size float. How does their average performance compare?

Musk owns a lot, funds own 50%ish. Some long term bulls. Perhaps a lot of shares are tied up? More to get tied up if SP500 ???

And there is 5 for 1 split coming up 8/31/20.

But nonetheless float is not unusually low.

  5. So the split will actually occur before, during, or after hours, on Monday?
