Hi there @Baron I'd like to draw yours and the mods' attention to user @notagain. I believe this is a bot. Here's why there is a pattern of posting in political threads, where most posts consist of 3 lines of content, always laid out in the same pattern it does not appear to interact with any poster (e.g. replying or quoting other content) except the occasional YT video from a cursory look, it does not appear to react (like) to any post (as far as I can tell) even when called on it, and being asked the same question repeatedly (either by me or another user) it has not reacted whatsoever, nor has it replied to requests of clarification I saw that it authored some threads, the latest of which goes back over 3 years ago, and I think it is possible that it may have been originally been a human-driven account It does not look like normal, human-like behavior to me. Of course I could be wrong and it could simply be that it's a guy who has users on ignore and just says his piece and moves on, but the pattern above seems just too weird. Quoting here a few of its posts for reference.
A shitposter who never likes your posts, but you like his? Plus, what's the difference if he posts via a phone. You can still quote, reply and like, surely?
- that's my sentiment and I appreciate what you're saying but this is not about any particular political position. It's about trying to understand who (or what) we are interacting with, and what to do if it is a bot.
Confirm not a bot. A bot has a much higher IQ and EQ. Also a bot can work 24/7. Humans could be lazy/tired, or not keen to engage in discussion or Not responding.... What you described about @notagain showed he is a real human with human characters and behaviours
I get where you're coming from, but his constant use of slang like "commies", "Dems", "it would be crickets", "gov't", etc. are not terms that bots generally use. They are typically way more formal when it comes to vocabulary. But hey, I could be wrong. I will continue to monitor that user and we'll see where things end up. Thanks for letting me know about it.
Imo a pattern I find with what I believe are bots; They frequently post in the forex forum. They post in very old threads where someone hasn't posted for a long time. They post mundane non controversial comments. They post about trading 'wisdom' which every noob would be aware of. Their posts are frequently only one or two or three liners.
