I found an options course. It says very low risk almost non existent and can deliver on bull year the return can be 70% per year and on a bear 15%. Is this possible or is it most likely a scam
Is it the same options strategy the prince of nigeria used to amass his fortune? I hear that's a good one.
andy_p... be careful.. With those kind of returns (assuming other metrics are ok like risk of ruin, standard deviation) , hedge funds would be throwing money at them... I would start with reading books from S Natenburg, L Macmillan first before going into advisory services. A good number of them advocate premium selling REGARDLESS of iv regime or regardless of ticker chart setups. (ex.. I would never sell premium near big numbers). The reason this method is prevalent is that they have a high win rate- which looks good on their site. The biggest problem is that when the method fails when markets convulse, they fail "bigly"....but by that time, they already have your $$$ and then move on to the next set of clients.
"Every highly profitable trader I have ever met in my 40 years of market speculation has done it with a trading approach of their own design. I know of nobody who has made it by shadowing another trader’s maneuvers. Peter Brandt" This is one of the better performing CTA funds that trades options - just to give you an idea on how unrealistic their claims are.
you are half right, as I sure as hell can't teach trading as it cannot be taught but only learned, however I am pretty happy with the doing it part. Enjoy teaching/scamming, be taught/scammed...
And it only costs $795 for a three day course. Wait if you bring a friend, every friend you bring you get a discount..... This actually happened: Two of my friends signed up against their better judgement. At the end they were talked into letting them managed their money investing in options the way that was taught, and why not if you could get 70% return? Each gave them $75,000 to invest. They never had a profitable month but fortunately were able to pull out what was left after about six months, both now wiser but poorer.
