is there one pair that ...?

  1. is there a specific pair that would be best for some reason for a newbie to concentrate on to learn trading? i'm talking about day-trading, though im also interested in holding positions for longer.

  2. Eur/Usd, it's the most liquid and therefore less prone to unexpected volatile moves, plus it's usually technically 'correct'. Spread is generally pretty tight too.

    Being the most traded pair there is always some analysis around the net to compare to your own view.

    I would say euro, yen or Aus dollar. They are my favourites to trade. Cable is too fast and furious for a beginner and Cad can be unpredictable and your stops can get screwed. Aus dollar is a good one in my opinion, but maybe try watching either the euro or the Aus and also the yen. The yen is a different animal and you can see a move brewing up a mile away sometimes.
