Dear- We aware that Etrade and Scottrade has numerous branch, so that we can visit with lots of technical question by beginner. However, some broker does NOT allow any trader to visit even their headquarter. How about IBKR? If we visit CT or Chicago headquarter by myself, can we have a talk for lots of technical questions?
IBKR seems to be located in Greenwich, CT as in https://www.google.co.kr/maps/place/Interactive Brokers LLC/@41.019504,-73.646086,16z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c29842f490518f:0x9c69e6f16bef5d79 a mile from Greenwich train station, an hour from NYC. ************************ Anyone know the area in Greenwich and Stamford? I heard that there is a hugh place that hundreds of trader use their PC to trade IN ONE SINGLE ROOM.
Here is the view for the ONE SINGLE ROOM above http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/09/nyregion/ubs-may-move-back-to-manhattan-from-stamford.html?_r=0 second out of the three pictures.
yes, you can visit IB in CT, you can stare at the fibre optics cables and they have a pretty clean server room, and they also let you tour the diesel powered backup electricity generator. Oh and if you purchase the platinum tour kit then you get to shake hands with Tommy Peterffy.
I do not care server room. Instead of the time-consuming post here in Elite, I hope to see staff in front, for IB questions by a beginner. Roughly speaking every Friday 4PM to 5PM appointed. Probably they do NOT have any staff technician to explain to me, including API.
I concur. IB is a direct access broker. Not geared toward amateurs IMO. Go to Scottrade and talk their ear off.
