I recently started using the Firefox add on HTTPS-everywhere: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/https-everywhere/ But this extension provides HTTPS encryption only for sites that support it. Baron, would you consider support HTTPS encryption for Elite Trader? I'm sure all of the members who engage in private threads would appreciate the additional security measure. As an aside, the Firefox add on Calomel SSL Validation is great for checking how strong a sites encryption is:- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/calomel-ssl-validation/ You'd be surprised to see that many banks or government sites use only a very weak form of encryption.
I think this is first request for https that I've ever had. I actually started looking into it recently on my own for an entirely different reason than what you mentioned. It's going to happen here soon for sure no matter what. Thanks for the feedback.
Excellent news. A no brainer if it doesn't cost you too much. Edit - I think you want to avoid SHA-0 and SHA-1 if you're going to set this up. Both have cryptographic weaknesses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Hash_Algorithm
