I was doing my trading and improving with each day but since when I got a real job, my trading has affected badly and I am not able to trade properly. Is it possible to manage trading with real job?
Yes, it is totally possible. You need to find a market and develop a system that will work for your schedule. For example, if you have day trading mindset, you can day trade Asian markets after your 9-5.
It depends on the type of job and it depends on the type of trading. e.g. Daytrading while working a normal wage slave job is not sustainable.
Sure, I did it using a quotrek and a payphone when I had a slave job in a cubicle-- It would be much easier today with iPhones and such. good luck! surf My portable quotrek machine:
I meant a *real* job where you're expected to do actual work. Unless you're some kind of genius your job performance will suffer and sooner or later you'll be fired.
True dat-- I never did well as a slave. But I imagine you could set your orders prior to the trading day and just check/tweak them at lunch time. It could "work" surf
I did 17 years of working graveyard, get off work to day trade till closing and pass out. I do remember all the calls I would call nite desk and get quotes for Exchange for Physicals before forex came along on my breaks. Yeah it was tough, but what else is not tough if you want to change your life. At start of any change in one's life, you have to get use to this change phyically/mentally, work into your trading as you get use to the changes.
When I worked and traded, my lunch hour coincided with the market close. I had a [buy the dips] system wherein I bought things near the end of the day and sold them the next morning. The mornings were the problem though. The open was the best time to grab some profits but it coincided with my commute. I could go in early but the IT department learned to block things that weren't work related. I could trade and go in late every day and get dirty looks from the bullying idiot in charge.. It's tough out there for a trader
Your options are, IMO: -Position trade off of daily charts (or longer). -Trade forex or asia, etc in your off time. -Quit your job or trading. That's really about it as far as I can tell.
