I am not able to log into Interactive Brokers platform since around 1000hrs 18Nov2000 Singapore time. Is the entire platform down? I'm wondering if this is a problem specific to me or system-wide. IB staff, please feedback to those in charge that platform outage is a risk active traders cannot tolerate. Imagine if we have a huge position on and wants to cut risk but not able to do so because your platform is down. Platform outage is a very SERIOUS problem that active traders cannot tolerate. No active traders can tolerate platform outage risk. This is not the first time it happened this year. I recall this is the second time. If you tout yourself as a platform for active traders, then you've got a serious problem on your hand now.
Thanks for informing. Seems like I'm not alone in having this problem. The problem should be at IB end.
I guess it is back up? I had a small issue at 11AM Singapore time in getting my account value via the API (I download this value every hour). However, from noon onward is everything okay.
dont rely on your broker any broker, even IB, you should have a stop loss on the exchange at all times
