Is GBP/USD the smoothest pair?

I'm talking about whipsaws. Looks to me like Cable is the trendiest pair. I'm new to forex so maybe I'm wrong, but I've went back 30 days on most majors and that's what I figured.

GBP/USD the smoothest? That's laughable at best!

Cam, what's your opinion? Which pair is the smoothest on average?

Well, I'm not entirely sure on your definition of smooth but my top choices would be AUD/USD or EUR/CHF. Both extremely predictable and "smooth" pairs.

EUR/USD is (in my opinion) smoother than GBP/USD and so is USD/JPY. In fact, I think GBP/USD is one of the most volatile pairs. When you get bored with it move on to GBP/JPY like I did years ago ;-)

Well, it doesn't look like it, at least not in range bars.

You're right, it's probably a subjective question. I'll stick to Cable for now )

  9. Can you really use 30 days as a sample particularly on 150 range charts?

Not a pair, but smooth nonetheless :D
