Bruffault's law is a general, fairly useful observation, not a law. Many relationships are based on mutual benefit, not just what women gain. Men also have preferences and deal-breakers, relationships are not solely dictated by female choice. Emotional bonds, companionship, and love are real driving factors, not just transactional benefits. In some cases, men provide disproportionate resources and still get rejected, contradicting a strict interpretation of Briffault’s Law. Arranged marriage would need to reconsidered in regards to Briffault's as female choice is often restricted or mediated by family and social structures rather than being a direct, individual decision.
