Anyone think Blackstone ( BX ) is in trouble?? Look at the news and price action. I got blackstone confused with black rock which seems to be in much better shape.
Private equity funds have been propped up by artificially low interest rates, which have juiced returns over the last couple decades. Add in the fact that their reported volatility is lower than the economic reality, and you get the perfect storm of huge institutional flows into the asset class. I would stay away from BX personally, although they're not a bankruptcy risk if that's what you're referring to.
I thought that might be what you were referring to. Their ability to limit redemption's in their BREIT (Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust ) is spelled out in the prospectus. And if you think about it, what it does, that only makes sense. The people who put their money in this aren't the Robinhood types. Newsflash This thing has $69B of aum management buying everything from hospitals and dorms to 300 unit apartment complexes. It's not the ARKK Innovation fund buying stock in TSLA. Blackstone will be just fine. That money is going into the one sector that will actually do well now... and going forward. Regardless of where the S&P goes.
It is not lost on the community that Innervoice confuses Blackrock with Blackstone. To him all blacks look the same.
lol, you're on a roll tonight. best quit while ahead. Always exit on the high-note. Here's a stock this thread sent me down a rabbit-hole on... I checked out a bunch, like 8.... I like this one, its my pick of the bunch as a near term swing trade to the upside: Ventas VTR $46.28 Winner winner. Close north of $50 for a quick 10%.
It's one of the same. It all started as Blackstone Financial in 1985 and then Larry Fink branched out and started Blackrock three years later and decided to call it Blackrock just to keep it in the family "Black" sorta speak. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/22/blackstone-or-blackrock-schwarzman-and-fink-did-it-on-purpose.html#:~:text=The business that would become, three years earlier in 1985. Today Blackrock is bigger it seems.
%% Good interesting black points. Sounds like both of them ,know not much about guns or guns co. Sounds like both have some good work habits\ even though Mr Fink never did answer Carl Ichan when rebuked to his face about not so liquid Blackrock bond ETFs . The Blackrock[Ishares or iShares] ETF with about a million shares per day was plenty liquid,[for me] so i really dont begrudge him his AUM..................
No. it is not having any trouble. It climbed up the mountain. It reached its peak on Nov 2021. Now it is descending. It should reach the base camp soon. Really, nothing abnormal. Don't listen to your innervoice. Listen to your outervoice. Because your Innervoice (subconscious mind) is highly contaminated.
