Iraqi Parliament Votes to Expel All American Troops and Submit UN Complaint Against US for Violation of Sovereignty

"What happened was a political assassination. Iraq cannot accept this."

Speaking before an extraordinary session of parliament Sunday, Iraq's outgoing Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi recommended that the nation's lawmakers approve a measure to end U.S. troop presence in "immediately" following the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad.

The U.S. assassination Soleimani on Iraqi soil was met with fierce condemnation from Iraq's foreign ministry and the prime minister, who called the drone strike a violation of the nation's sovereignty.

"What happened was a political assassination," Mahdi said. "Iraq cannot accept this."

In a previously undisclosed detail one observer described as "stunning," Mahdi said Soleimani was in Baghdad to meet with him about a Saudi request for dialogue to relieve tensions in the region—not, as the U.S. has claimed, to plan attacks against American forces.

“I received a phone call from @realDonaldTrump when the embassy protests ended thanking the government efforts and asked Iraq to play the mediator's role between US and Iran” Iraqi PM said.

“But at the same time American helicopters and drones were flying without the approval of Iraq, and we refused the request of bringing more soldiers to US embassy and bases” iraqi PM said.

“I was supposed to meet Soleimani at the morning the day he was killed, he came to deliver me a message from Iran responding to the message we delivered from Saudi to Iran” Iraqi PM said.

    but wait, there's more....

Iraq's Prime Minister Resigns After Weeks Of Anti-Government Protests

Dozens of protesters have been killed and hundreds more injured in clashes with police since popular unrest swept across parts of Iraq's south beginning on Oct. 1, when thousands took to the streets demanding jobs, an end to corruption and what they said was Iran's meddling in Iraq's internal affairs.

In the last 24 hours, security forces have fatally shot at least three dozen people during protests in the southern city of Nasiriya, in the bloodiest day of anti-government demonstrations in some two months. There were also reports of at least two protesters killed in the capital, Baghdad.

Earlier Friday, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Iraq's top Shia cleric, suggested that the government had lost control of the situation and that "parliament, from which the current government emerged, must reconsider its choices and do what's in the interest of Iraq."

Funny how you hate America and Trump so much you take the word of a PM who had his personal bodyguards go to a bank and rob and point blank tie up and execute 8 employees before loading up 2 cars full of money just 10 years ago. Mahdi is not a good guy. In fact if Trump was even half as bad as Mahdi, I wouldn't vote for him no matter how good Trump was for the economy.

I don't hate America, Republicans do. I never said Mahdi was a good guy, just that Trump & Pompeo are certainly proven liars

  4. The Prime Minister is shia and all the shia in Iraq report to Iran.

    Nuff said.

No doubt they will be nominating Solemenie for the Nobel Peace Prize.

He has resigned and is on his way out as a result of the chaos in Iraq. No doubt Solemenie was in the region on multiple missions. Kill some Americans, make sure the new PM and government in Iraq knows who the boss is, etc. etc. Solemenie would have been involved in the attack on Saudi Arabia so if they have some ridiculous story that he was killed while being involved in peace negotiations with the Saudis, well fine. I am sure the Saudis think that would be just fine- even if bullshit.

My favorite line in the article was this...

“I am sure Adel Abdul Mahdi was not involved,” said Ahmad Abdulhussein, a journalist threatened for an article he wrote on the case.

Couple that with the fact that only a couple were found, tried and executed within 2 and a half days and the other "ringleaders" just vanished into the night. Nothing to see here folks.

It doesn't take much intelligence to know that this is false.
