A friend of a friend asks for guidance - Hi XXXXXX We do the typical IPO flipping. I'm looking to expand my network of brokers who get IPO stock. The big wirehouses are getting impossible to deal with. The space seems to be shifting to hot RegA+ deals with smaller firms. I guess I'm writing to ask where you would refer me to to for intros to transaction oriented brokers. Let me what I can do for you as well. Cheers, XXXXXX
I have the suspicion I'm swinging at a pitch in the dirt. Let's paraphrase what your friend is saying. "Nobody wants to deal with flippers anymore so we're finding less access - is there a broker who's part of the selling group that hasn't figured this out ?" No solution and it sounds like he's getting shut out. Much of IPO allocation is to customers with most ongoing business. He'll be able to get all he wants if the deal is not fully subscribed. Often you'll need to restrict flippers to be considered for the selling group.
