iPhone- Are you buying one? Price - $499 4GB, $599 8GB I want one, however I just looked at the commercial, at the end it says "Use requires minimum new 2 year activation plan." I signed up a few months back with Cingular/AT&T, and figured, that I would be able to buy it just like any other phone when it came out. Now I cant even purchase something that I want http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ad3/
has the battery life issue with windows mobile been solved? i used an early generation samsung running windows mobile and battery life was dismal. any thoughts on the Q, wanting to upgrade from treo650- palm surf
my 6700 totally customizable, tons of software, has everything, can hook it to laptop for mobile internet as well. no proprietary software and locked down, with its crappy itunes aapl
Does anyone know how much of that 4gb or 8gb will already be used up by osx? In other words, how many songs will you really be able to store on the i-phone. There is so much already loaded on the phone I'm concerned how much is left for music or video storage.
I would guess that it would not use any of it. That would be offensive to me if they promoted a 4gb and only gave you a 3gb because you needed the 1gb to operate it. If they do that, I'm sure there would be a lawsuit, similar to the one they have going on with their monitors. Joe
The time I will be ready to switch to an all-inclusive phone/pc and sell my laptop is when a phone will be able to do all the tasks that my laptop can, until that time I will continue using a very tiny sexy little phone that fits neatly inside a very small pocket and carry on using my MacBook Pro
Has the lack of REAL Javascript implementation issue been worked out in Windows Mobile... Anyway... Buying 2 iPhones... As soon as they hit the stores... Time to trade in the sidekicks (that support Javascript) Almost bought one of those damnedable Windows Mobile Phones. Tried to surf all my favorite web sites... NO GO.... What a waste. Kept my SideKick..... Though the Sidekick 3 is junk. Just faster Surfing. The iPhone is everything I had hoped the Sidekick 3 would be. Thanks Apple for listening to Our WANTS.. Not just our needs. LOL.
OK, for you APPLE pros out there, do you think the i-pod functionality on this i-phone will be as good as their best i-pod? It's really the driving force behind me getting it as I haven't bought an I-pod yet. Or do you think it would be better to get the best i-pod on the market and a different smart phone?
