Investment Bankers? (boutique/small, <$200M)

  1. Looking for a boutique IB shop for a small deal, well under $500M, most probably under $200M-$250M.

The company received an offer but the partners don't really have a solid valuation. The company does not need capital however the partners may be interested in diluting a bit to turn equity into cash - anything is on the table from partners simply getting a valuation and maintaining 100% ownership to selling 100% of the company if the price is right.

No I'm not going to name the company or the partners or even say anything about the name/location of the company or what it does.

The company has a bunch of long-term assets (with potential extraordinarily high-value) on the books that are very, very, very (did I say VERY) illiquid and therefore hard to value/assign a proper haircut to. Not real-estate but looking for a shop that understands a scenario involving very illiquid assets such as frozen CDO/CMO structures with high tax losses.

Please PM me if it's anything serious.

Not sure what you're looking for. Probably recommend BofA, Jefferies, Centerview.

  3. The bulge brackets all want bigger deals, >$500M, this is considerably less.

<$250M should be within the domain of Houlihan Lokey.
