I have a laptop (XP) running automated code for trading.

    I have ADSL for WWW.

But I need a connection monitor tool (software). So I can check my connection is CONNECTED ALL the time.

Produces a log of check freq, say every 15 min.

Sends alerts when WWW back on if WWW was down for an hour or so.

    Any ideas...

    Thx in advance...

  2. You should consider getting a second ISP. I have a cable modem and FIOS (just got FIOS it was DSL until this week) so if one goes down the other will (hopefully) still be up and running. Search on ET for dual wan router for more info on this type of setup.

If you're looking for software try tucows.

  3. I think XP has an event viewer that should tell you when your tcip is lost and restored.
