Don't believe everything you read from journalists and politicians. Boeing will eventually get it right now that they get religious about safety. Not counting the two crashes, the Max will be one of the most reliable airplanes in the future sky.

Boeing always has excellent technical talents and they will prevail.

I think their problem started when they passed over Alan Mulally and pick an ex-GE guy Jim Mcnerney as their CEO. The GE way destroyed quite a few companies (remember Home Depot?) including GE itself with Jeff Immelt. All the GE guys focused on financial numbers to the exclusion of everything else. Mulally then went on to do great things at Ford. Imagine if Mulally was at the helm of Boeing?

Yes but nobody really values technical talents anymore except maybe at FAANG. No wonder Boeing is in such deep shit now.
