i agree with many of these points made in this article except the political ones and personal insults that is just childishness on the authors part.

but when you look at what musk is doing in space you would think a car would be a no brainer.

i don't get it and it's puzzling, yet where i live tesla's are thriving and you can not go outside without seeing one somewhere.

i think probably his personal involvement in the business is the problem. with space x he has to rely more on real professionals, with cars he thinks he knows best. it's hard being a big picture guy, they throw mud at a wall and see what sticks and then move on. without it there would be no progress in the world.

I agree with your comments. The article did not focus on the competition, which seems to be ahead of Tesla.

Tesla stock value seems to be largely based on the AI data that Tesla has accumulated. But there too, competition will enter that aspect as well.

Re the car itself: largely due to Musk/Trump personal actions, there is real risk -- including physical injury -- driving in a Tesla. Unless Musk completely leaves Gov't, I don't see how that brand injury will ever correct.

Didn't Musk buy Twitter for a huge premium? Financially, that made no sense at the time. But, in retrospect, don't you think that investment paid off nicely? It gave him a direct access to the White House and all the others prerogatives no other tech CEOs ever could dream of having. As much as I don't like Musk the attention whore, I wouldn't underestimate Musk the brainy fuck.

I don't think Musk is too brainy... he just realized that the government gives out unlimitted funds, and based all his companies on this. Then when his own credits that Tesla owners can collect were reaching the max limit, he was all in favour of eliminating tax credits for EVs.

Just now I saw a post that Trump said that those targeting Tesla are terrorists. So the only thing left holding up Tesla is the Trump effect, which unfortunately is a very powerful force. But the business model is dead, so playing games with the stock price can only last for so long.

but wait a minute why is the trump effect unfortunate? political reasons, your poor feelings?

if it were any other doll of a stock yall would be touting it's praises like little butterflies and pink warn fuzzy feelings lol.

there is not one stock that is not a scam - all of them are scams. musk, bezos, gates, buffet all rely on mastery of bullshit to create the illusion of wealth.

the stock market like government without fools giving them money each month there is nothing there when liquidated.

The fact that he planned this in advance should amply show what he's capable of. You might not like what he does, but unless you're able to figure him out early, he will always be a step ahead of you (well, not you personally). Unfortunately, that's the case these days with the majority of the population, especially in politics. They're always one step behind.

Pets.com was a first mover too. Many others that went to stock heaven.

Shilling with the Shill-Master on the White House grounds and now this:-

    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/...ssuage-employees-and-investors-143825245.html

Tesla's Elon Musk holds surprise all-hands meeting to assuage employees and investors
'It feels like Armageddon out there,' Musk said about vandalism of Tesla EVs while also giving updates on a number of future products.

"Autonomous Teslas will be everywhere. In five years probably we will have regulatory approval, I think globally, so you will have autonomous Teslas on every continent taking people on trips, and almost the entire fleet — which will pass 10 million vehicles next year — is capable of full autonomy," he said.

    + + +

And in five years he will still be saying ........ it is coming. Uber and Waymo joint-venture just started autonomous ride service right under his nose in Austin, TX. Annnnnyday now Elon. Robotaxi, robotaxi, robo robo row row your boat.

What other US based companies rival Tesla robot? Whatever I see on youtube comes from China and Japan.
