    assuming my total equity is $100k. I have short position of -$50k and cash +$150k.the current daily interest rate is 0.01%. How much would the Interest Accrued be for one day? I though it would be $15 (without including short borrow fee), right? But the number shown in my statement is negative.

    DEPENDS;
    SCHW has a weird posting period, for interest+ somwhat delayed P+L on anything depending. First glance suggests it not posted yet. They dont exactly label SEC fee that way also......

    Thanks. But what is SCHW? do you mean interest is also determined by P&L? I created ticket to ask CSR to explain the numbers in my statement. But no response for weeks.

    I meant SCHW [broker], puts interest in another section of P+L;
    + they don't post bank interest, money market interest changes daily.
    But it compounds daily+ pays monthly on 15th [except DEC]
    Actually there is a ''+'' sign in my money market daily line then N/A, meaning they dont post interest daily, [on P+L page]even when its on the books. LOL Maybe a hassle to post interest daily.:D:D
    7 day mm yield =5.2362%[Assume your account is not one that has an inactivity fee?]I also looked @ all that fund manager , she had invested in. Thanks
