I have trading permissions for countries in Europe, Asia and the US. I wanted to test out a strategy in their demo platform with Norwegian equities. It told me that I did not have the trading permissions in the demo platform. This is strange because I do have trading permissions for Norway in my live account. Does IB not support demo trading for the Norwegian markets?

Do you trade futures options? Do you have an account with IB?

I've had that problem with other markets as well.. can't remember which ones, but definitely one I had permissions on for live-trading. Seems IB doesn't always allow demo/paper on some markets.

which Norwegian product are you trying to trade?

Even when trading live IB doesn't allow OSO anyway to trade norwegian equities from what I remember, only Nasdaq, which is an almost dead market.
Paper trading Nasdad Nordic would be very misleading if the system gives you easy fills.

You can sim trade this market on your paper account if you have permission and subscribe to Oslo data.
